Speaker: Polly Neate, Chief Executive of Women's Aid in conversation with Judith Buchanan, Director of the Humanities Research Centre.

Polly Neate, Chief Executive of Women's Aid, is a prominent campaigner and commentator about sexism and violence towards women. Women's Aid was consulted by BBC Radio 4's 'The Archers' on their high profile domestic abuse storyline. In this session we will discuss how this storyline has played out and how it has reflected and contributed to the contemporary debate on domestic abuse and the law. Polly will outline how Women's Aid plays a role in policy and practise in this area.
