Cynthia Wall is Professor of English at the University of Virginia. She is the author of dozens of articles and chapters in eighteenth-century culture and literary studies, as well as of The Prose of Things (University of Chicago Press, 2006) and The Literary and Cultural Spaces of Restoration London (Cambridge University Press, 1998).
