Saturday 10 June 2023, 1.30PM
A buffet lunch and refreshments will be available from 1.30pm and there will be two panels of speakers talking about the history of CECS and some current research projects, before we conclude with a drinks reception. If you have any questions, please contact cecs1@york.ac.uk
Saturday 10 June is also the final day of a major conference (organised by Jane Rendall and Rachel Feldberg) on 'Science, Gender and Sociability in a Northern City', centring on the diary of Jane Ewbank, written in York from 1803-1805. Ewbank was the 25 year old daughter of a druggist/apothecary who had a keen interest in science, concerts and the theatre. We would be delighted to offer anyone coming to the CECS anniversary a free ticket to any/all of the panels that morning before the anniversary events begin at lunchtime. Full details of the conference programme on other days, to which you are very welcome, at available at Science, Gender and Sociability Conference. If you'd like to come to any/all of the 'Science, Gender and Sociability' conference panels, please book a ticket.
The ticket type you will need to select is "CECS 25th". If you have any questions about this conference, please contact ewbank-conference@york.ac.uk
We look forward to celebrating with you.
