Citizenship education in Hong Kong

Professor Ian Davies was invited to the Hong Kong Institute of Education to give a public lecture ('citizenship education and democracy'); to lead a staff seminar ('citizenship education and communities'); and, to be the discussant at the staff seminar led by Professor Bob Adamson ('social equity and language policies'). During his visit he held discussions with several colleagues about ongoing work on journal articles and the forthcoming co-authored book ('Education, globalization and the nation') involving academics from 7 nations. He also discussed a variety of possible research projects on citizenship education.
