CASLE holds its first PGR conference

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Language and Education (CASLE) organised its first PGR conference on 21 June 2023, under the theme Meeting Methodologies.

Post-graduate researcheres (PGRs) from seven UK universities presented their research, which included over 30 oral presentations, posters and research method demonstrations. Dr Jim McKinley from UCL delivered the keynote and Jo Evershed, the CEO of Gorilla Experiment Builder, delivered a plenary.

We were delighted to have several staff members and many PGRs as well as Master students from the Department of Education with attendance also by PGRs in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science. The event was sponsored by Oxford University Press, Multilingual Matters, Gorilla Experiment Builder, Graduate Student Association of the University of York and the Department of Education.
