The book, written with Professor Robert Plomin, is one of four to be chosen for the popular science category of the society’s awards.
The winners will be announced in September and will be invited to deliver a Book Award Lecture at the BPS Annual Conference in Liverpool next year.
The Society’s Book Award recognises excellent published work in psychology and is made jointly by its Research Board and Psychology Education Board.
