CRESJ members, Dr Eleanor Brown (Lecturer) and Emma Jackson (Ph.D. researcher) were the conference’s chair and co-chair. The theme of this year’s conference was Comparative Education and Development Alternatives: Critiques, innovations, and transitions, and saw participation from across CRESJ.
Professor Vanita Sundaram led the sub-theme of “intersectional inequalities and social exclusion,” and Dr Eleanor Brown led the sub-theme of “social movements, indigenous knowledges and collective learning.” Several CRESJ Ph.D. students--including Caroline Casey, Julio Rivadeneira-Barreiro, Sihem Salem, and Erin Shannon--presented posters or talks on their thesis research.
