These scholarships and studentships are available to postgraduate taught students in the Department of Economics and Related Studies.

York Graduate Loyalty Discount

If you've previously studied at the University of York, you could be eligible for a tuition fee discount for postgraduate taught courses.

  • Funding: Ten per cent tuition fee discount

International Regional Scholarship

Our International Regional Scholarship is here to support international undergraduate and postgraduate students to help them excel.

  • Funding: £2,500 - £9,000 (first year of study only)

Prime Minister’s Fellowship

The Governance Innovation Unit (GIU) at the Prime Minister’s Office in Bangladesh has been awarding Prime Minister Fellowships to government officials, university educators, and high-achieving individuals in higher education since 2018.

Commonwealth Scholarship

The University of York is a host university for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Various opportunities are available throughout the year. The majority of awards are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

John Monash Scholarship

The John Monash Scholarship provides yearly funding to outstanding postgraduate taught and research students from Australia.

  • Funding: $75,000 AUD for each year of study
  • Academic year: 2024/25
  • Application deadline: Saturday 20 July 2024, 5pm BST
  • Open to: Students from Australia
  • Number available: 10-20

The IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) aims to help increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of both men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.

  • Funding: Up to €20,000 for tuition costs and up to €20,000 for living costs for living costs for the Master’s programme.
  • Academic year: 2024/25
  • Application deadline: Monday 30 September 2024, 8.14am BST
  • Open to: EU and UK (home) students

York Minster Choral Scholarships

York Minster offers choral scholarships lasting 12 months or longer to altos, tenors and basses who are undergraduate or postgraduate students.

Yorkshire Bach Choir

We are now accepting applications for our choral scholarship scheme for 2024/25. The 12-month scholarships will be open to all four voice parts.

  • Funding: £500 (to be paid in 2 instalments, one in December, one in June)
