Biography

Lu'ay Al-Hasasnah is a PhD student in Economics at the Department of Economics and Related Studies. His research interests revolve around Financial Economics, Banking, Green finance, and Economic Growth.

Prior to his PhD studies, Lu'ay gained valuable professional experience as a Lecturer at the Hashemite University's Faculty of Economics and Administration Sciences. In this role, he taught courses such as International Economics, Mathematical Economics, Statistical Analysis for Economics, Public Finance, Islamic Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Principles of Microeconomics.

Lu'ay Al-Hasasnah also held the position of Operations Officer in the Treasury Department of Jordan Mortgage Refinance Company (JMRC). JMRC aimed to facilitate housing finance for Jordanian citizens by providing medium and long-term financing to banks and financial institutions in the Kingdom. During his tenure, Lu'ay assumed responsibility for coordinating various events, including bond issuance, obtaining regulatory approvals, managing auction results, and overseeing the payment of interest and nominal value on bond maturity dates. Notably, he presented JMRC's mechanism to delegates from various institutions, including the Armenian central bank, further strengthening relationships with international counterparts. Additionally, Lu'ay played an instrumental role in organizational development and diligently prepared reports for the World Bank, showcasing JMRC's remarkable achievements.

Lu'ay holds a Master's degree in Investment and Financing from Hashemite University, where he gained a solid foundation in the field. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics from the same institution.

Luay's main research interests are in the field of Financial Economics, Banking, Green Finance and Economics Growth. His work currently focuses on the relationship between sustainable practices and financial outcomes.
