Biography

Ieva was awarded a PhD in Economics from the Department of Economics and Related Studies in January 2019.  Her PhD was supervised by Dr Andrew Pickering and Dr Mauro Bambi and funded by the ESRC (+3) studentship.

The focus of her PhD thesis was on the relationship between economic inequality and the effectiveness of different kinds of foreign aid.  Her work applied methods for panel data analysis, and analysis using microeconomics and macroeconomics models.   
In September 2017 Ieva started working as a postdoctoral research fellow on distributive justice, together with Professor Richard Cookson and Dr Miqdad Asaria at the Centre for Health Economics, York: https://www.york.ac.uk/che/staff/research/ieva-skarda/
