Chiara started her PhD at DERS in October 2016. She is interested in econometric methods for policy evaluation and in the determinants of socioeconomic inequalities in health. Her current work focuses on the impact of educational policy on health behaviours and health.
Chiara holds an MSc in Health Economics and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, both from the University of York. Prior to the PhD, she was a visiting researcher at the School of Economics, University of Sydney, and she completed a research placement at the Health Economics Research Unit, University of Aberdeen.
