The 30th European Workshop on Econometrics and Health Economics organised by Andrew Jones and Owen O'Donnell (Erasmus University) was held in Madrid between 13-15 September 2023.
The local organiser was Eugenio Zucchelli (Autonoma University of Madrid and past PhD student in DERS).
Thirteen papers were presented, each with an allocated discussant, and a Keynote presentation.
Nigel Rice discussed the paper "Do non-monetary interventions improve staff retention? Evidence from English NHS hospitals", presented by Giuseppe Moscelli (University of Surrey). Nigel also chaired the Friday morning session of papers; and was co-author of the paper "Do delayed admissions to nursing homes increase hospital utilisation?", presented by Marlies Bar (Erasmus University).
Mathilde Peron discussed the paper "The impact of disease-specific health insurance reform on mortality", presented by Felipe Menares (UC Berkeley).
The workshop keynote presentation "Estimating Flexible Income Processes from Subjective Expectations" was delivered by Manuel Arellano (CEMFI).
