Welcome Nahid Farnaz
Welcoming a new Lecturer to the Department
Nahid Farnaz has joined us from the University of Manchester, where she was a Lecturer in the Economics department. She has taught in a variety of subjects, including Development Economics, Macroeconomics and Advanced Statistics. She has also given practical workshops on the use of R, Stata and Microsoft Excel, and has served as a dissertation supervisor (both UG and PG level) and a first-year undergraduate advisor.
Nahid has completed her PhD in Development Economics and MSc in Economics from the University of Manchester and holds a Teaching Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Her research interests are in the field of development economics, particularly on topics related to poverty, inequality and financial development.
