WEb Audio Virtual Environment Rendering (WEAVER)

Online Virtual Acoustics for Sonic Art, Digital Heritage, and Broadcast

The WEAVER project was supported by the Centre for Digital Heritage, and led by the University of York's Research Champion for Creativity, Damian Murphy. The project worked closely with York Theatre Royal to develop a web resource that would engage new audiences with the redevelopment and heritage of the theatre's auditorium. This resulted in an online box office application, based on a production of 'Sherlock Holmes', which involved VR capture and rendering of the theatre space.
