The International Placment Scheme enables postgraduate students and early career researchers to enrich their research, understandings and connections through immersion in thriving research cultures, with privileges unavailable to independent visiting scholars. Elizabeth and Anna will spend time at the Huntington Library which specialises in British and American history, literature, and the history of science, medicine and technology.
Elizabeth will be researching the early modern intellectual and financial history of St Stephen's Chapel in the library's manuscript and Ellesmere collections, and Anna will be looking at the waste paper contained within the bindings of the library's early modern books.
