'On Thin Ice': The launch of Thin Ice Press

Join the Department of English and Related Literature to celebrate the launch of Thin Ice Press, our newly-built in-house printing studio.

Learn about our plans for teaching, research, publication, and workshop and training opportunities, as well as our project to build a replica eighteenth-century wooden common press. Guests will explore the printing studio, enjoy a series of pop-up talks and events, and admire an exhibition of letterpress printing past and present, including works from many of our collaborators and partners. You will get the chance to turn your hand to printing, and take home a unique souvenir.

Light refreshments will be provided, and the evening will include a silent auction, offering you the chance to support the studio by bidding for an individual piece of letterpress art.
