Cabinet Day Trip to Bolsover Castle

Friday 31 July 2015, 8.30AM

The Cabinet of Curiosities is organising a day excursion to Bolsover Castle, founded in the late 11th century by William Peveril. In 1612, Sir Charles Cavendish began the Little Castle, situated among the ruins, as a retreat from his principal seat, nearby at Welbeck.

Once home to Margaret Cavendish, Bolsover remains a fascinating and enigmatic building, as well as a record of Royalist sentiment and exile during the civil wars.

The coach will depart from the Berrick Saul building at 8.30am prompt, and will return to York before 5pm. CREMS is delighted to sponsor the trip, and there will be no charge for transport or admission.

Location: Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire

Admission: CREMS staff, graduates, and associates welcome
