Richard III will be re-interred in Leicester Cathedral on Thursday March 26. On March 27, the Department of English and Related Literature at York and the School of Modern Languages at Leicester come together to celebrate the historical figure who inspired one of Shakespeare's most popular incarnations.
International participants will attend memorial events in York Minster, Tempest Anderson Hall and the Yorkshire Museum, and then join forces for a research workshop that explores the significance of the Shakespearean dead body on page, stage and screen.
