The three-session workshop titled "Space and Conversion: Institutions, Urban Stages and Interiority (16th–20th Centuries)" will take place on 6–7 December 2011. The workshop aims to shed light on aspects of the conversion process that have been neglected by recent historiography: its physical and spatial dimensions, the connections between the interiority of the neophyte and the external space in which the conversion path takes place. The workshop encourages a global comparative approach. There are no restrictions regarding geography or religions. The chronological scope is from the 16th to the 20th century. The language of the workshop is English.
