Professor Dursteler is the author of Venetians in Constantinople: Nation, Identity and Coexistence in the Early Modern Mediterranean (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2006) and Renegade Women: Gender, Identity and Boundaries in the Early Modern Mediterranean (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2011). He will be presenting work on his new project which investigates the connections between food, bodies, and religious identity in the Mediterranean melting pot. All are welcome to attend this seminar, which will take place in the Humanities Research Centre, BS008 at 4.30 pm (refreshments available from 4.15).
