This important volume, edited with Harald Hendrix (Professor of Italian Studies at the University of Utrecht) and Todd M. Richardson (Assistant Professor, Renaissance and Baroque Art History, University of Memphis), identifies conversion as one of the most pressing religious issues of the early modern period, and brings together leading scholars of literature, history and art history to demonstrate that the study of conversion cannot be separated from the creative and spiritual ways in which it was given meaning.
Lieke was a Visiting Fellow of the Department of English and Related Literature during the autumn term, 2011, and worked closely with the Conversion Narratives team. We are delighted to welcome her back to York for a brief visit, and invite you to join us to toast her success. All welcome.
