David is a Research Fellow for Evidence Synthesis within CRD. His PhD was in the field of autism and the psychology of interest. He has worked on a wide range of systematic reviews while at the CRD including the effectiveness of early intensive ABA-based treatment for autistic children, lipid-lowering therapies in children with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, the prevention of self-harm for young people in educational settings and the physical and mental health of older prisoners (PAMHOP). His main interests are in autism spectrum disorder, mental health and education.
Prior to joining CRD, he worked as a trial coordinator in Lime Trees Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and was involved in a number of projects covering topics such as Social Stories and LEGO-Therapy for autistic children and specific phobias in school age children.
