Dr Kester Clegg

Dr Kester Clegg is a Research and Innovation Fellow at the Centre For Assuring Autonomy and has over two decades of system safety research experience, working with industrial partners such as Rolls-Royce (Aerospace) and BAE. 

He has developed and taught courses on assuring machine learning for clients such as the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency), RSSB (Railway Systems Safety Board), BAE, NHS and as part of the MSc in Safety Critical Systems Engineering course. His current research interests include explainability in AI (XAI), and the use of Large Language Models and RAG verification in safety development processes.
