Professor Jim Austin has a vast collection of computing equipment and ephemera accumulated over a number of years. A number of the items on display in the Computer Science 50 Years exhibition were kindly loaned from that collection.

The BBC programme "Collectaholics", which describes itself as a "series exploring the weird and wonderful world of some Britain's passionate, avid and sometimes downright obsessive collectors", featured Jim in a programme first broadcast on BBC2 on 15 April 2015, and which can be seen here.
