BCS IT Award 1992

In 1992, the department and York Software Engineering (YSE) - a spinout company - were jointly awarded the BCS IT Award for the CADiZ ("Computer Aided Design in Z") product.

The collaboration between YSE and the department's High Integrity Systems Engineering research group was led by Professor John McDermid, and the chief developer was Dr Ian Toyn. Ian (left) and John (right) are pictured with BCS President, Roger Johnson.
