STYCs and STYMs are an important part of college life, giving upper year students the opportunity to support our newest students and welcome them into their college community.

As a STYC or STYM, students will receive dedicated training sessions to support their skills in communicating effectively, sign-posting further support and being a positive role model.

What are STYCs and STYMs?

Second/Third Year Contacts (STYCs) help welcome students in their first week at University.

Second/Third Year Mentors (STYMs) provide all new undergraduate students with a student peer supporter throughout their first year.
