Professor Danny Dorling, University of Oxford, says it’s "a wonderful book" and Professor Kate Pickett at the University of York says, "scholarly and fascinating... combines rigorous statistics and the lived experience of council estate residents over time".
The book draws on a unique archive spanning the lifetime of twenty council estate projects in the UK and using hundreds of resident voices, exploring council housing’s failures and successes and the reasons for them.
