Profile

Biography

Sarah is a PhD student affiliated with the Global Health team and the Health Policy team based at the Centre for Health Economics (CHE). Her PhD studentship is supported by the NIHR Global Health Research Unit, "Health Financing for UHC in Challenging Times: Leaving No-one Behind" (HFACT), which collaborates with partners in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and South Africa. Her research focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and equity of resource allocation for health in large, federalized, low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Before joining CHE, Sarah worked as an economic advisor to the Ministry of Health in Nigeria under the ODI fellowship scheme. There, she collaborated with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) on programs related to primary health care system development, health financing policy, and maternal and child health. Prior to that, she consulted for the World Health Organization (WHO) European Office for Investment in Health and Development, Italy.

Sarah holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York.
