Yingying is a Research Fellow in the Economic Evaluation theme. She joined the TEEHTA in September 2021. Before that, Yingying did her master and PhD at the Department of Economics in Lancaster University. Her PhD studies older workers' labour supply transition and its relationship with physical or mental health status in a dynamic framework. She has a strong background in applied econometrics with emphasis on causal inference.
Yingying currently works on the Next Generation Health Technology Assessment (HTx) project to develop quantitative methodologies that use observational data to support personalized treatment advice. She applies and extends causal inference methods to fit the requirements of healthcare economic evaluation. She will also work on methodologies that generalize or transport from randomized controlled trials (RCT) to a target population.
