Wiktoria Tafesse joined CHE in May 2018 as a research fellow for the Thanzi la Onse project. Wiktoria holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex which was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Her doctoral thesis focussed on the causes and consequences of nutrition in the UK and India
She holds a MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a BSc in Economics and Political Science from the University of Stockholm.
Wiktoria’s research interests lie in applied microeconometrics in health and development economics. Current research includes evaluating the effects from contracting-out of health care to non-governmental providers in Malawi.
