Profile

Biography

Shainur is a Research Fellow in Economic Evaluation (TEEHTA). Shainur holds a BA in International Relations, BA Honours in Economics, an MSc in Health Research Methods, and PhD in Health Economics.

Career

Shainur has over 15 years of progressive experience in programme evaluation, health research, and health economics, and has worked in various academic, private, and public health settings. Shainur thrives in situations that require innovative, applied system-level thinking and complex research designs using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, including patient-level data applications for evidence-informed, applied decision-making.

Departmental roles

Within the Centre for Health Economics, Shainur is also engaged in the following academic citizenship roles:

  • Co-Chair, Cultural, Social, and Well-being Group.
  • Co-Organiser, monthly TEEHTA Economic Evaluation Seminars.
  • Tutor, departmental annual short courses in health economics and decision modelling.
