Biography

Neelam is a PhD student in Health Economics affiliated with the Global Health team and the Team for Economic Evaluation and Health technology Assessment (TEEHTA) at the Centre for Health Economics (CHE), University of York. Her research focuses on the economic evaluation of behavioural interventions to alleviate non-communicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries.

Neelam also works part-time as a senior research fellow in Healthcare Modelling at the Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre, University of Southampton, conducting technology appraisals for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). In her previous roles, Neelam worked as a mathematical modeller in a multinational pharmaceutical consulting firm and as a research assistant at the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR), University of Sheffield.

Neelam holds a BA(Hons.) in Economics with Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Delhi (India), an MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, and an MSc in Health Economics and Decision Modelling from the University of Sheffield.
