Jinyang is a research fellow at the Centre for Health Economics, where he joined Health and Social Care Policy in August 2023. He holds a PhD in Health Policy from Renmin University, China, with a background in Marketing (BA) and Health Policy & Management (MA).
He had a two-years health economics training and visiting experience at China Center for Health Economic Research, Peking University, and the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation, Imperial College London, from 2021 to 2023.
His research interests include:
(1) the incentives for healthcare providers and the policy effects, with a special focus on the economics and policy (re)design of hospital ranking programme, which serves as a quality transparency incentive.
(2) the policy of integrated care model in the English NHS as well as in the Chinese CHS, and its inter-system comparative analysis.
(3) the continuity of primary care.
He also holds an honorary position at Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham, UK, and served as a committee member for the Chinese National Report of Health System Reform 2021.
