The first-of-its-kind event, EconFest 2024 brought together officials from nine UK government departments, senior analysts and economists, and over 3,000 attendees from around the world, featuring interactive sessions across a breadth of subject areas. Led by senior civil servants and leading academics including Professor Diane Coyle, Professor Matthew Cotton, Dr. Anna Valero, Professor John Van Reenen and Paul Johnson, sessions included “Bitesize Economics” workshops and deep dives on crucial issues, all highlighting the importance of good economics in understanding the central problems facing the UK today.
