Seminar Presentation by Rowena Jacobs

Rowena Jacobs from the Centre for Health Economics (CHE), University of York, discusses whether better primary care practice performance on relevant mental health Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) indicators is associated with lower rates of emergency hospital admissions for (a) severe mental illness (SMI) and (b) for physical conditions in patients with SMI. She reports emerging findings, discuss possible interpretations and consider the policy implications for the QOF.

This project is funded by the National Institute for Health Services and Delivery Research programme (project number 10/1011/22). These are emerging findings. The views and opinions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the HS&DR programme, NIHR, NHS or the Department of Health.
