Global health
CHE global health research encompasses a range of interlinked programmes of work, all of which fall under the strategic priority of helping to improve health and healthcare decision-making in low- and middle-income countries through robust evidence.
Our research spans both physical and mental health, using economic evaluation techniques as well as health policy analysis.
We conduct our research in partnership with academics, policy-makers and civil society in a variety of places, including East, Southern and West Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East, East and South Asia. We also bring in expertise from partners in multilateral organisations and academic institutions in the UK and across the globe to maximise the societal impact of our work.
A core element of our work is to contribute to the strengthening of local capabilities for research and decision-making in the partner countries. An example of this is the Global Health Economics Hub, a free-to-access resource to support training in health economics and its use within policy in lower-income settings.
