AccessAble Accessibility Guides
Helping staff, students and visitors to make informed accessibility choices for travelling around campus.
Project overview
Since 2019 the University has worked in partnership with AccessAble (formerly known as Disabled Go) to create detailed Access Guides to the buildings, services and key rooms on campus.
Over 200 buildings and services, 400 teaching spaces and 10 routes around/between campus and the city have been assessed. The resulting guides are now available on the University Webpages and the AccessAble website and App (Android and IOS).
The guides allow visitors, staff and students to make an informed choices as to whether a venue is suitable for them before they go. We recognise that everyone's accessibility needs are different, which is why having detailed, accurate information is important to allow people to judge for themselves.
