Every year students in the Centre's MA in Applied Human Rights and LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice spend two weeks on field visits in Cape Town, South Africa, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, respectively. The field trip forms an essential part of one of the core modules of both programmes, Defending Human Rights. During these field trips the students undertake placements with local civil society organisations working on human rights in a range of issues from indigenous peoples rights to refugees and women's empowerment. Read more about the field trips to Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur from the students' own reviews!
