Open Day at the Centre for Applied Human Rights

On the 10th March, CAHR will hold an open day for prospective MA and LLM students

CAHR is a world-renowned centre for human rights education and practice, holding the UNESCO Chair in the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Expansion of Political Space. The LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice and MA in Applied Human Rights programmes offer a unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the field of human rights, through fieldwork experiences in South Africa or the UK, engagement with real-world issues, and collaboration with NGOs, UN mechanisms, and governmental bodies.

On the 10th of March, CAHR will hold an open day where students will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet the co-directors of CAHR, Professors Paul Gready and Ioana Cismas.
  • Attend one lecture from a list of modules available to students on the MA/LLM at CAHR.
  • Hear from a human rights defender who is currently hosted by CAHR.

Attendees should register online by the 3rd of March 2025.

The Department of Politics and International Relations are also holding information sessions on the following dates:

  • 2 April 2025, 13:00-15:00: MA Applied Human Rights information session - Department of Politics and International Relations reception, no registration required.
  • 23 April 2025, 13:00-14:00: Online Open Day (MA Applied Human Rights, MA Peace and Conflict Studies, MA Global Development Politics) - Register online by the 20th of April.
