As well as receiving Chevening students through the general Chevening call, the University will award ten Masters scholarships per year to candidates in specific degree areas identified as being York strengths that best match Chevening's own priority areas. Which for 2021-22, includes any eligible degree from the Centre for Applied Human Rights (CAHR). To read more about Chevening scholars at the CAHR's, and hear testimonials from our Chevening scholars, please visit our website.
We consider that these awards will help bring some incredible students to York. Often people with a wealth of relevant professional experience who are well connected (Chevening scholars often have roles in ministries and government positions) and who will hopefully bring a positive contribution to York's classrooms and campus. They will also help support our agenda to diversify our PGT cohorts. For further information on Chevening scholarships visit the postgraduate taught international funding webpages.
The University of York PG application system opens for the next cycle next Monday 28 September 2020, the call for applications will close on the 3rd of November 2020.
* The Chevening Scholarships webinar is taking place on Thursday 1 October at 10am (BST). Students interested in applying can register here.
