York Human Rights City Network Coordinator vacancy open at CAHR

The York Human Rights City Network, which the Centre for Applied Human Rights is part of, is hiring a Network Coordinator.

The Centre for Applied Human Rights wishes to appoint a Coordinator for the York Human Rights City Network (YHRCN), funded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of the York Human Rights City Network, and particularly its work on human rights cities nationally and internationally, at one of the UK’s leading universities. The Centre is committed to research excellence and innovative learning and teaching on human rights practice. 

Applications are encouraged from individuals with an interest in both human rights and outreach work. The Network Coordinator will co-ordinate, support and develop the activities of the York Human Rights City Network. There will be considerable scope in the post to use and strengthen an interest in human rights.

The vacancy is part-time and the hours of work are 29.6 per week.

The post is available for 12 months from 1 September 2014 with a possible extension for a further 2 years.
