Speaker(s): Stephen Bowen, Director, British Institute of Human Rights
As part of the British Institute of Human Rights’ year of celebrations to mark this important event, Stephen Bowen, Director of BIHR, will reflect on the future of human rights in the UK in this public lecture. Stephen will examine some of the more dominant media and political portrayals of human rights in the UK, such as the future of the Human Rights Act, and our relationship with the European Convention on Human Rights and its Court and the impact this has on our international standing. Bringing together these big political debates, Stephen will reflect on what this ultimately means for human rights here at home.
