The project involves members of the public in research and prepares the ground for a large grant funding application by developing and piloting a new survey instrument for eliciting public views on health inequality trade-offs. It involves running a “Citizens' Panel" meeting in York involving 30 members of the public in discussions about health inequality and fairness in the NHS, supplemented with a national on-line survey to test the reliability and validity of our survey instrument on a larger and more representative sample of the English general public.
