New research priming and translational funding round

Applications are invited from across all departments for funding research relating to chronic diseases and disorders

C2D2 is expected to have an additional £290,000 to allocate to research priming and translational funding for this academic year. We encourage 'big & bold' proposals that are innovative, i.e. not 'more of the same', and which are either interdisciplinary or will lead to interdisciplinary work.

Resubmissions from the first round are welcomed so long as the reservations expressed in the feedback have been addressed. Resubmissions will be treated as new applications in the review process.

The deadline for applications will be within the next 4-6 weeks, and will be confirmed as soon as possible (along with any restrictions around 'spend by' dates). Guidance on writing the applications is available on the 'internal funding schemes' page. More information to follow shortly.
