Paloma Fernández Pérez
Paloma Fernández Pérez is professor of economic and business history at the Department of Economic History of Universitat de Barcelona in Spain. She graduated in History at the University of Barcelona in Spain, and obtained her Ph.D. in History at the University of California at Berkeley in the U.S. in 1994. Her research has focused in the last two decades in the history of family businesses, Spanish economic history, organizational innovation, and entrepreneurial networks. She has published two books, edited two more, and has published more than twenty articles in specialized journals of business history, economic history and management. She is currently supervising two competitive research projects about networks and large family firms in the world with a historical and comparative international perspective. She has received the ICREA Research award of the Catalan government in 2008, has been nominated Council member of the Center of Studies Antoni de Capmany and of the journal Business History, and is Visiting Fellow at University of Lancaster.
