How polycentric governance shapes social enterprises' decision-making processes.
In the field of organizational management, my research interests focus on how hybrid organizations—such as social enterprises—can collaborate across individuals, community groups, and organizations to create not only business profits but also social and environmental impacts.
Hi, this is Shana.
I often find myself wondering, what has shaped the person I am today?
During my studies, I was always curious about the organizational mechanisms enabling people with diverse identities to work together, create unique organizational cultures, and impact. This journey inspired me to pursue an MSc in International Business and Emerging Markets at the University of Edinburgh (2016-2017) and a BSc at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL) (2012-2016). My goal was to equip myself with the management knowledge needed to find answers to the many questions that continually arose in my mind.
My career journey began at Deloitte, Shanghai (2018-2020), where I worked as an analyst associate for two years, building professional skills in a multinational environment. I then worked as a tutor in a private educational institution, Hefei (2020-2022), which allowed me to connect with college students and develop my teaching skills. Throughout, I stayed engaged with volunteer projects, such as weekly online chats with students in rural villages in China to provide health guidance and reassurance. This experience has kept me grounded in an open-minded and inclusive outlook.
