Sian completed her BA (hons) and MLitt) in History at Newcastle University. Sian started her career with a variety of community development posts that involved developing multi-agency networks and capacity building within community groups.
She then moved to lead the office of the Chief Executive of Newcastle City Council, with a particular focus on devolution, economic development, and public sector reform. More recently she headed up the Strategy Delivery Unit at Durham University and is now returning to her original passion for place-shaping, inclusive growth, and social policy.
