Laura joined the School for Business and Society in 2022, bringing range of project support and management experience from roles at the University of York and, prior to that, City of York Council
In her role as the Knowledge Exchange, Impact and Communications Manager for the national School for Social Care Research (SSCR), Laura provides support and advice to the seven member institutions about maximising research impact and connecting with key audiences/ stakeholders. The SSCR is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and its directorate team is based at the University of York.
Laura also supports the work of The Curiosity Partnership, a network of local authorities and universities working together to increase research capacity into the provision of older people's social care. Laura also assists with other ongoing research projects in the same field.
