Profile

Biography

Kiet Duong is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at School for Business and Society, University of York. Prior to joining University of York in December 2021, he was a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield. He previously held different roles, including an Assistant Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, a tutor in Mathematics and Statistics at University of Essex, and an exam paper tester for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He also has industry experience working for a commercial bank prior to his academic career.

He holds a MSc in Finance and a PhD in Finance from University of Essex. 

His research areas include corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and CEO/board director characteristics. He welcomes research collaborations, and he is interested in supervising PhD candidates in his research interests.

His research has been recently funded by British Academy/Leverhulme Trust Small Research Grants 2023.
