Biography
Alannah started her role as a Research Trainee in the School for Business and Society in November 2022. She studied her undergraduate degree in BA Sociology at the University of York before going on to work for York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a therapy assistant on a rehabilitation and discharge planning unit specifically for older patients. This previous role means that Alannah has experience of working with people living with dementia and is aware of the challenges that self-funders face when trying to arrange their own social care. As a result, Alannah is currently assigned to work on the two projects listed below but will start to support the work of The Curiosity Partnership later this year whilst studying part-time for her MSc in Health Research.
